Our samurai-like turtle is a gender-neutral warrior in the War on Waste!

The shield is emblazoned with the earth globe, on a bright yellow field with sun-like rays, declaring the admonition to Save the World;' the spear declares the warrior title of Eco-Warrior; a martial-arts weapon is the chasing arrows representing recycling.

The turtle, as much a totem as a motif, was chosen partly because a turtle has an obvious intimate relationship with home, carrying the exoskeleton constantly. We humans must become so aware of our planet home in order to leave a viable earth for our children and grandchildren.
